In the history of American high school football, no one has done it better than Yulee (Fla.) sensation Derrick Henry.

The 6-foot-3, 240-pound senior broke Ken Hall’s all-time rushing record this fall,
as he carried 462 times for 4,261 yards and 55 touchdowns. He finishes
his storied career with 12,124 yards and 150 touchdowns.

Henry was an easy choice for 2012 MaxPreps National Player of the Year honors.

Washington
quarterback Max Browne, Georgia quarterback DeShaun Watson and running
backs Thomas Tyner and Kelvin Taylor were also considered.

As for Ohio, it had two players make the list: TE Jake BUtt (Pickerington) and LB Ja’wuan Woodley.
