Heading into the new year, here’s how we see
things. Today we continue the third annual JJHuddle Wrestling Power
Polls with the latest rankings. Who are the No. 1s? Who is in the Top 10 as 2013 begins?

The Holiday tournaments helped sort some things out and clear some pictures up, but most teams in the state entered the holidays fighting some injuries … or that nasty stomach flu that has been going around which claimed a number of top competitors at all three major holiday tournaments.



1. Lakewood St. Edward – Won Medina.
2. Massillon Perry – Finished second at Medina.
3. Brecksville Broadview Heights – Won the Brecksville Holiday Tournament.
4. Moeller – Won the Coaches Classic
5. Marysville – Finished fifth at Brecksville.
6. Centerville – Missing several big guns, finished 10th at Brecksville.
7. Loveland – Finished 10th at Brecksville.
8. Oregon Clay – Finished sixth at Brecksville.
9. Fairmont – Got a title from Matt Denlinger in taking a decimated line up to Brecksville.
10. Hilliard Davidson – Finished ninth at Brecksville.



1. Graham – Cruised to the title at the Holiday Tournament.
2. Wauseson – Finished second at Brecksville.
3. Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy – Finished fourth at Medina.
4. Clyde – Finished 4th at Brecksville.
5. Steubenville – Split tri meet with Walsh and CVCA.
6. Lexington – Finished 8th at Medina.
7. Eaton – Missing Michael May, Eaton finishes 17th at Holiday.
8. Akron St. Vincent St. Mary – Finished 13th at Brecksville.
9. Mentor Lake Catholic – Finished 23rd at Brecksville.
10. Walsh Jesuit – swept in tri meet with Steubenville and CVCA.



1. Troy Christian – Finished seventh at Brecksville.
2. Delta – Finished third at Holiday.
3. Dayton Christian – Fighting the flu, Crusaders got a title from Danishek at Brecksville.
4. Carlisle – Finished 15th at Brecksville.
5. Rootstown – Finished 17th at Medina.
6. Shadyside – Finished 38th at Brecksville.
7. Beachwood – Fourth at Kenston Invitational.
8. Nelsonville York – Finished 39th at Brecksville.
9. Applecreek Waynedale – Didn’t participate in any of the top holiday tournaments and continue to wrestle and invisible and un-taxing schedule.
10. West Jefferson – Finished fifth at own invitational.
