Today we release the fourth annual JJHuddle All-Ohio Football Team. This team covers all-divisions and can basically be summed up by this: If you had to create an all-star team from Ohio to play in a national
tournament, who would you want suiting up for the Buckeye State? This is our roster and reserves…

As for how this team was selected, we went with the experts: the staff of JJHuddle.com, Bucknuts.com and ScoutingOhio.com.

JJHuddle Ohio HS Football Player of the Year

Mitch Trubisky, Mentor, QB, sr.

There have been some good QBs in Northeastern Ohio, but none have thrown for more yards than Trubisky. The North Carolina recruit capped a stellar career by setting Cleveland-area records for passing yards in a season (4,063) and a career (9,126). Over the last two seasons he’s tossed 83 TDs (41 in 2011 and 42 in 2012). Trubisky’s defining moments came this season with epic performances in back-to-back playoff wins over St. Edward and St. Ignatius. Against St. Edward, Trubisky threw for 476 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 102 yards and two TDs in a 63-56 come-from-behind win (the Cardinals trailed by 21 in the second half). A week later, Trubiksy threw for 411 yards and two TDs and ran for 138 yards and four TDs as Mentor beat defending state champion St. Ignatius, 57-56, in triple OT. Trubisky hit Brandon Fritts with the game-winning 2-point pass to cap the craziness. Think Trubisky’s just a passer? The last two years he’s rushed for 1,510 yards and 30 TDs. Which means…Trubisky accounted for 113 TDs in his last 27 games. Hands down.
