The Power Polls…continue. JJHuddle’s immensely popular state football rankings return today with the release of the Division I Week 9 poll. A reminder, JJHuddle is proud to announce that the Ohio National Guard has become the presenting sponsor of the 2012 rankings.

New polls will be unveiled on site every week during the regular season.

1. Cleveland St. Ignatius (8-0/AP Poll: 1)
Last Week: Head coach Chuck Kyle is now just two wins shy of 300 for his career, as the Wildcats beat St. Francis (N.Y.) 56-0. RB Tim McVey ran for three TDs and DB Bryan Fisher had two interceptions and blocked a punt.

2. Colerain (8-0/AP Poll: 3)
Last Week:
The Cardinals racked up 630 yards of offense and senior QB Alfred Ramsby threw for 292 yards and five TDs as Colerain beat Fairfield 65-6. Fairfield managed just 73 yards of offense, including 25 yards rushing on 27 attempts.

3. Lakewood St. Edward (8-0/AP Poll: 2)
Last Week: The Eagles built a 24-9 halftime lead by scoring on three of their five first half possessions en route to a 27-16 win over St. Xavier. St. Edward also scored on a punt block in the second quarter.

4. Pickerington North (8-0/AP Poll: 7)
Last Week: Senior RB Godwin Igwebuike ran for two TDs and Kody Casey blocked two punts as the Panthers beat Groveport 35-7.

5. Dublin Coffman (8-0/AP Poll: 4)
Last Week: RB Bilal Williamson ran for four TDs and QB James Walsh threw for two as the Rocks beat Westland 69-13. Coffman rolled up 545 yards of offense.

6. Cincinnati St. Xavier (5-3/AP Poll: NR)
Last Week: The Bombers couldn’t punch it in from the 2-yardline with 1:30 to go in a 27-16 loss to St. Edward. St. X outscored the Eagles 7-3 in the second half, but a 24-9 hafltime deficit was too big a hole.

7. Mentor (7-1/AP Poll: 9)
Last Week: Senior QB Mitch Trubisky led the Cardinals to TDs on their first seven possessions as mentor built a 49-7 halftime lead en route to a 63-21 win over Medina. Trubisky – who threw for two TDs and ran for another – did not play in the second half.

8. Toledo Whitmer (8-0/AP Poll: 5)
Last Week: QB Nick Holley completed 17-of-22 passes for 245 yards and five TDs and ran for 104 yards on 14 carries as the Panthers beat Fremont Ross 51-14.

9. Warren Harding (7-1/AP Poll: NR)
Last Week: The Raiders rallied from 7-point deficits four times
and finally took their first lead in the fourth quarter in a 34-28 win
over Cleveland Heights. RB John Coleman scored four TDs for Harding,
including the game-winner with nine minutes to go.

10. Massillon Washington (7-1/AP Poll: NR)
Last Week: The Tigers beat overmatched Pauline Johnson (Canada) 71-12 in a game that had seven minute third and fourth quarters.
