Central Ohio’s No. 1 HS Football Rankings continue today with the release of the Week 8 JJHuddle/NBC4 Central Ohio Power Poll. Here’s how things look after seven games…


The fourth annual JJHuddle/NBC4 Central Ohio Power Poll continues…See who is where after the opening weekend.

This year JJHuddle and NBC4 will again contest separate polls for
Divisions I, II, III and IV. Divisions V and VI will remained combined.

POLL CHAMPIONS WILL BE NAMED FOLLOWING THE REGULAR SEASON

Central Ohio Power Polls: Week 8

DIVISON I

1. Pickerington North (7-0)
Result: The Panthers outgained Reynoldsburg 437-180 in total yards and outscored the Raiders 49-27. QB Mason Olszewski threw three TD passes to TE Jake Butt and RB Godwin Igwebuike ran for three TDs.

2. Dublin Coffman (7-0)
Result: The Rocks scored 30 second quarter points and outgained Central Crossing 455-145 in total yards en route to a 53-6 win over the Comets. QB James Walsh threw for three TDs, while RB Bilal Williamson ran for four.

3. Hilliard Darby (7-0)
Result: The Panthers converted a gutsy fourth-and-one play from their own 17-yardline with 3:45 remaining en route to beating Westerville South 28-14. QB Chase Longwell ran for 196 yards and two TDs on 18 carries.

4. Dublin Scioto (6-1)
Result: The Irish rallied from a seven-point deficit twice to post a 42-23 win over Dublin Jerome. RB William Houston ran for three TDs and DB Anthony Thompson returned an interception 90 yards for another score.

5. Westerville Central (6-1)
Result: The Warhawks scored all their points in the first half in a 35-14 win over Westerville North. QB Jared Drake threw for two TDs (both to Charlie Mosuhey) and ran for another.

DIVISON II

1. Tri-Valley (7-0)
Result: QB Nathan Strock threw for 260 yards and two TDs and RB Austin Jones ran for 173 yards and three TDs as the Scotties beat New Lexington 43-7. TV had 465 yards of offense.

2. New Albany (5-2)
Result: QB Darron Lee and RB Alan Watson each ran for two TDs for the Eagles in a 33-14 win over previously unbeaten Olentangy. NA used a 19-point third quarter to turn a close game (7-0 at the half) into a convincing win.

3. Marion-Franklin (6-1)
Result: The Red Devils beat Africentric 73-20. The teams combined for 54 first quarter points, but after that M-F did all the scoring (39-0). The Red Devils outgained the Nubians 429-99 in total yards. QB Joe Alverson connected with WR Darien Williams for three TDs.

4. Zanesville (6-1)
Result: The Blue Devils led 10-0 in the third quarter but surrendered three TDs in a 79-second span en route to losing 26-17 to Dover.

5. Licking Heights (7-0)
Result: The Hornets had nine different players score in a 61-0 win over Millersport. LH held the Lakers to 71 total yards and scored on punt and interception returns.

DIVISON III

1. Circleville (6-1)
Result: The Tigers racked up 635 yards in a 51-14 win over Fairfield Union. QB David Burroughs threw for 157 yards a TD and ran for 194 yards and two TDs.

2. Watterson (4-3)
Result: The Eagles held host Ironton to 68 yards rushing in a dominating 42-8 win. Walker Green ran for three TDs and Andy Elberson ran for two as Watterson rolled up 418 yards, including 363 on the ground.

3. Granville (6-1)
Result: QB David Fraley ran for three TDs and threw for two more as the Blue Aces beat Heath 42-14. Granville had 434 yards of offense.

4. Eastmoor (5-2)
Result: QB Daivon Barrow only completed six passes but three went for TDs in a 51-12 win over Columbus South. Barrow also returned a punt 80 yards for a TD.

Result: The Stallions dominated Cincinnati Aiken – allowing just 11 total yards – in a 44-0 shutout win. DeSales ran for 338 yards and scored 21 points in each of the first two quarters.

DIVISON IV

1. Hartley (7-0)
Result: The Hawks rolled up 401 yards in a 40-7 win over Bishop Luers (Ind.). Ja’Wuan Woodley ran for 189 yards and three TDs, while Marcellus Calhoun ran for 117 yards and two TDs.

2. North Union (7-0)
Result: Jake Blevins, Thane Hoffman and Tyler Henderson each ran for two TDs as the Wildcats beat Cardington 60-8.

3. Westfall (6-1)
Result: The Mustangs scored more than 34 points against Chillicothe Southeastern for the 10th time in a row en route to a 42-17 win. Westfall had 519 total yards. QB Trent Williamson threw for three TDs.

4. Ready (6-1)
Result: The Silver Knights fell behind 24-0 and
eventually lost 31-13 at Lima Central Catholic. RB Doug Stricker led
Ready with 124 yards on 18 carries.

5. Johnstown-Monroe (6-1)
Result: QB Tyler Thompson ran for four TDs and threw for another in a 49-8 win over Utica. The Johnnies outgained the Redskins 482-163 in total yards.

1. West Jefferson (6-1)
Result: Harvest Prep cut the Rough Riders lead to 28-21 with a minute to go in the first half, but WJ responded when QB Seth Casto scored with eight seconds to go in the second quarter to regain momentum and propel WJ to a 53-21 win.

2. Newark Catholic (6-1)
Result: Senior RB/DB Kevin Bourne did a little of everything in the Green Wave’s 25-9 win over Licking Valley. Bourne ran for 93 yards and three TDs on 17 carries, caught a TD pass, intercepted an LV pass on the goal line and had an 83-yard kickoff return that set up NC’s first TD.

3. Danville (6-1)
Result: QB Bryce Staats accounted for five TDs as the Blue Devils beat Johnstown-Northridge 40-0. Staats threw for three scores ands ran for two more. Danville allowed just 25 yards rushing on 37 attempts.

4. Rosecrans (6-1)
Result: The Bishops rallied from a 19-14 fourth quarter deficit to post a 29-19 win over Claymont. Sophomore QB Adrick Cronin’s 33-yard TD pass to Cameron Roberts was the game-winner.

5. Marion Pleasant (5-2)
Result: The Spartans turned the ball over four times and lost to River Valley 35-21 for the first time in nearly two decades.
