rankings return today with the release of the Division I Week 2 poll. A reminder, JJHuddle is proud to announce that the Ohio National Guard has

DIVISION III WEEK 5 RANKINGS

1. Chagrin Falls (4-0)
Last Week: The Tigers opened up a 35-7 second quarter lead on Aurora and held on for a 42-34 win. Senior RB Jack Campbell ran for 146 yards and three TDs on 29 carries.

2. Alter (3-0-1)
Last Week: The Knights scored over 40 points for the third time this year and cruised to a 44-6 win over Roger Bacon.

3. Dayton Thurgood Marshall (4-0)
Last Week: The Cougars blew the doors off a 14-6 game at halftime with 42-second half points en route to a 56-6 win at Chillicothe. Denzel Norvell ran for five TDs (and 104 yards), while Vaynate Copeland ran for 214 yards.

4. Youngstown Mooney (2-2)
Last Week: The Cardinals improved to 21-1 all-time against Akron SVSM with a 41-15 win. Defensively Mooney registered six sacks and two interceptions. Senior RB Marcus McWilson paced the offense with 131 yards and three TDs on just seven carries.

5. Elida (4-0)
Last Week: The Bulldogs defense was dominant in a 21-7 win over Van Wert. Elida allowed 79 total yards – 76 of which came on a fourth quarter TD pass – and held Van Wert to minus-46 yards rushing on 28 attempts.

6. Steubenville (4-0)
Last Week: Big Red claimed the seventh annual Battle of the Bridge game with a 34-13 win over Brooke (WV). QB Corey Stinson threw for two TDs and RB Robert Hayden ran for two TDs as Steubenville scored on its first four possessions.

7. Marlington (4-0)
Last Week: Senior RB Dymonte Thomas ran for 309 yards and four TDs – three of which were over 50 yards – as the Dukes beat Louisville 34-24.

Last Week: The Redmen opened up a 62-0 halftime lead en route to a 66-0 win over Toledo Scott. Bellevue allowed just 50 total yards and had two-second half safeties. Senior QB Jalen Santoro threw for four TDs and ran for two more.

9. Akron SVSM (3-1)
Last Week:
The Irish failed to figure out Mooney again, falling to 1-21 in the all-time series with a 41-15 loss. QB Clayton Uecker threw for 251 yards and a TD as SVSM< actually doubled up Mooney in plays (70-34) and first downs (19-6).

10. Watterson (3-1)
Last Week: The Eagles opened up a 14-0 first half lead on host Winton Woods but fell 21-14 thanks in part to five turnovers and a blocked punt.
