Central Ohio’s No. 1 HS Football Rankings continue today with the release of the Week 5 JJHuddle/NBC4 Central Ohio Power Poll. Here’s how things look after three games…

The fourth annual JJHuddle/NBC4 Central Ohio Power Poll continues…See who is where after the opening weekend.

This year JJHuddle and NBC4 will again contest separate polls for
Divisions I, II, III and IV. Divisions V and VI will remained combined.


Central Ohio Power Polls: Week 5


1. Pickerington North (4-0)
Result: The Panthers racked up 498 yards and allowed just 114 in a 56-0 win over beat Newark. QB Mason Olszewski threw for two TDs and ran for one more.

2. Dublin Coffman (4-0)
Result: A crowd of nearly 7,500 watched as the Rocks beat Hilliard Davidson 33-10. Coffman was just 2-8 against the Wildcats in the previous 10 meetings. A 20-point third quarter helped blow the doors open.

3. Westerville South (4-0)
Result: Senior QB Nick Renzetti connected with Torrodd Carter for a school-record 99-yard TD pass as part of a 365-yard effort in a 28-7 win over Worthington Kilbourne.

4. Pickerington Central (2-1)
Result: The Tigers beat Lancaster 14-10 in a game that wasn’t decided until an interception by Nigel Hairston with 55 seconds left.

Result: RB Hayden Vankirk and QB Chase Longwell each accounted for three TDs in a 45-7 win over Westerville North. Darby had 454 yards of offense and allowed just 152.

1. Marion-Franklin (3-1)
Result: The Red Devils rolled up 555 yards of offense in a 72-6 win over Briggs. Senior QB Corry Benson threw for 242 yards and four TDs and ran for another.

Result: Senior Nathan Strock threw for a TD, ran for a TD and returned an interception for a TD as the Scotties beat Dover 28-21.

Result: Senior QB Darron Lee accounted for six TDs as the Eagles beat Orange 53-33. Lee threw for four scores and ran for two more.

Result: The Blue Devils rallied form a 24-12 fourth quarter deficit to shock Youngstown Ursuline 31-24. Junior QB Thomas Wibbeler completed 26-of-33 passes for 386 yards and five TDs, including three in the fourth quarter.

5. Hamilton Township (4-0)
Result: QB Zach Thompson and RB Aaron Williams turned in huge games as the Rangers beat Logan Elm 42-7 to improve to 4-0 for the first time since 1975. Thompson completed 9-of-12 passes for 217 yards and four TDs. Williams rushed for 100 yards and a TD and had 124 yards receiving and two more TDs through the air.

Result: The Eagles opened up a 14-0 first half lead on host Winton Woods but fell 21-14 thanks in part to five turnovers and a blocked punt.

Result: The Blue Aces held Bexley to 71 total yards and QB David Fraley threw four first half TDs in a 41-0 win over the Lions. Granville had 471 yards of offense.

Result: Senior QB Andy Fooce threw for three TDs and ran for two more as the Pioneers shut out Logan for the second straight year 35-0. Fooce accounted for 345 of Alder’s 386 total yards. Senior WR Brad Miller caught six passes for 196 yards and all three of Fooce’s TD tosses.
