Week 3 Winner: James Canan, Bradford (816 votes)
*Senior RB turned in one of Ohio’s Top 10 all-time single-game rushing performances in a 61-41 win over National Trail. Canan ran the ball 33 times for 455 yards
(No. 10 all-time according to the OHSAA) and seven TDs (one shy of
tieing state record). In a Week 2 win over Tipp City Bethel, Canan
rushed for 334 yards and three TDs on 38 carries. Through three games, Canan has 983 yards and 15 TDs on 84 carries.

Week 3 Runner-Up: Mason Mammarella, Dover (661 votes)
*Senior QB accounted for six TDs in a 56-0 win over Canfield.
Mammarella completed 17-of-19 passes for 264 yards and five TDs and
carried the ball eight times for 121 yards and another TD.

ONG JJH Ohio Team of the Week

Week 3 Winner: Miamisburg (491 votes)
*After going 4-36 the last four years, the Vikings improved to 2-1
under new head coach Steve Chanel with a 13-10 win over previously
unbeaten Franklin. It was the teams first meeting since 2004. The Burg’s
defense forced three turnovers and scored on  one (a 10-yard INT return
by Tyler Ikerd). Chanel spent 21 seasons at Trenton Edgewood and led
the Cougars to 10 playoff appearances and the 2003 D-II state final.
Last year he was Middletown’s QB coach. The Vikings haven’t had a
winning season since 2003.

Week 3 Runner-Up: Bradford (262 votes)
*The Railroaders – led by former Ohio Mr. Football, Penn State star and NFL first round draft pick Curtis Enis – are 3-0 for the first time since 1983 following a 61-41 win over National Trail. Bradford went 3-27 from 2007-2009 and hasn’t had a winning season since 1997. Since Enis took over in 2010, Bradford is 13-10. In the eight years prior they were 17-53.
