DIVISION IV WEEK 2 RANKINGS

1. Columbus Hartley (1-0)
Last Week: Total domination. The Hawks gained 610 total yards, including 508 on the ground, in a 42-0 win over Amanda-Clearcreek. Defensively, Hartley allowed 73 yards and six first downs.

2. Chaminade-Julienne (1-0)
Last Week: Freshman QB Jacob Harrison entered with 11:26 left in the fourth quarter and CJ trailing host Troy 14-7. He promptly threw two TD passes – including the game-winner on fourth-and-19 – and led the Eagles to a 21-14 victory. Harrison completed all four of his passes (for 116 yards). Hello.

3. St. Clairsville (1-0)
Last Week: The Red Devils snapped out of their funk in the second half (down 13-12) and beat Wheeling Park (WV) 47-27. Junior RB Jaylon Brown led the attack by rushing for four TDs and 140 yards on 24 carries. He also returned an interception 44 yards for a TD.

4. Norwayne (1-0)
Last Week: The Bobcats opened defense of their state title with a 47-7 win over host Wellington. QB Joe Dreher completed 14-of-22 passes for 276 yards and threw TD passes on Norwayne’s first four possessions as the Bobcats built a 40-0 halftime lead.

5. Clinton-Massie (1-0)
Last Week: Did we mention domination? The Falcons scored 43 first quarter points and beat host Blanchester 63-0 to win their sixth straight Cider Keg rivalry game. Massie scored nearly every way imaginable, including kickoff (opening), fumble and interception returns. The Falcons defense forced five turnovers, allowed 84 yards and surrendered three first downs.

Last Week: Junior QB Jeremy Holley threw for 367 yards and four TDs in a 30-27 win over host Huron.

Last Week: In head coach Tim Spiess’ debut the Comets tallied 617 yards of offense, including 553 on the ground, and blasted Ottawa Hills 58-7. RB Kyle Nutter ran for 237 yards and four TDs on 16 carries.

Last Week: The Tigers earned new head coach Mark Vass a win in his debut with a 32-27 victory over Wheelersburg. The Tigers rushed for 238 yards.

Last Week: Senior QB Jeremy Quinlan ran for two TDs, threw for another and kicked five PATs in a 49-7 win over Garfield Trinity Heights.

Last Week:

The Wildcats turned a close game (14-14 with less than a minute to go in the first half) into a blowout by scoring the game’s final 41 points in a 55-16 win over Fairbanks. A blocked punt for a TD ignited the run.
