rankings return today with the release of the Division I Week 2 poll. A reminder, JJHuddle is proud to announce that the Ohio National Guard has

of the 2012 rankings.

We will release the remaining Ohio National Guard & JJHuddle Power Polls today and tomorrow.

DIVISION III PRESEASON RANKINGS

1. Chagrin Falls (1-0)
Last Week: Perfect. That’s what senior QB Tommy Iammarino was in a 63-21 win over Richfield Revere. Iammarnio completed 13-of-13 passes for 293 yards and five TDs.

2. Youngstown Mooney (0-1)
Last Week: The Cardinals fell behind 21-0 at the half and never challenged St. Ignatius in a 31-7 loss.

Last Week: Senior QB Malik Zaire threw for five TDs and ran for another as the Knights rallied to beat neighborhood rival Fairmont for the eight straight time 42-35.

4. Mentor Lake Catholic (1-0)
Last Week: Senior QB Mark Baniewicz had a monster game as the Cougars exploded for a 42-7 halftime lead en route to a 49-21 win over Strongsville.  Baniewicz ran for 228 yards and five TDs and threw for another TD.

5. Steubenville (1-0)
Last Week: Big Red rallied from an early 8-0 deficit to beat Woodrow Wilson (D.C.) 28-8. Offensively, Steubenville outgained the visitors 349-113 in total yards.

6. Jonathan Alder (1-0)
Last Week: The Pioneers trailed 6-0 at halftime before Derritt Potts returned the second half kickoff 98 yards for the tying score. Three more TDs from QB Andy Fooce (two rushing, one throwing) propelled Alder to the win.

7. Dayton Thurgood Marshall (1-0)
Last Week: The Cougars rolled up 497 yards of offense and had two backs (Denzel Norvell and Vayante Copeland) score three TDs each in a 55-7 win over Lima Senior. Defensively, Marshall had four interceptions and allowed just 91 total yards – including 13 in the first half.
