Noteworthy News: TVS was extremely young last year. The Panthers started six freshman and five sophomores. Said Engleka: “The experience gained by our underclassmen last year enables us to bring
back a solid core of players who are a year older and more physically
ready for the challenges of the Cross County Conference.”

Schedule: The Panthers open with three of thier first four on the road (at Dixie, National Trail and Arcanum). They close with three of four at home, however, including games against CCC stalwarts Covington and Miami East.

Coach’s Quote: “Our No. 1 priority is that we have to become mentally and physically tougher. We lost three games last year simply because the other team was mentally and physically tougher than we were. That has been a huge emphasis in the off-season and will continue into the summer and pre-season. The kids have begun to realize that X’s and O’s is a small part of the game, what it comes down to is toughness, and exerting your will to dominate on your opponent.”
