Tom was a stater as a soph at S/OLB and lead defense in tackles & points before switch to QB. Was names 2nd team ALL GWOC QB in 2011. Will also see time on the defensive side fo the ball in 2012.

*Robert Nsenga, Sr, S/LB, 5.11 195
-Returning 2-year stater. 1st Team ALL GWOC as a junior. Team leader in total tackles in 2010 & 2011. Had a season high 21 tackles against Centerville in 2011.

*Aaron Abbott, Sr, DB/WR, 6.0 185
Returning 2-year starter. Played RB a in 2010 and switch to DB/WR in 2011. Aaron was second on team in total tackles in 2011. Was a two player who was 2nd Team ALL GWOC DB in 2011.

Returning 2-starter and was selected 1st Team ALL GWOC Punt Return Specialists in 2011.

Schedule: The Firebirds have a new look this year with the annual GWOC crossover swap. New to the slate are: Springboro, Trotwood-Madison and Lebanon. In addition to rivals Kettering Alter and Centerville, Fairmont will also face its GWOC Central meatgrinder: Wayne, Springfield, Northmont and Beavercreek. Said Aracri: “We love playing in the GWOC Central. Along with Centerville, Wayne, Northmont, & Springfield are all intense battles with playoff caliber teams and each game has an unbelievable atmosphere. We believe it is the greatest conference in SW Ohio and are privileged to be a part of such conference with great coaches, players, and teams.”

Coaches Quotes: “We are excited about the 2012 campaign. We have been a young team of many freshman & sophomores these past two years and are looking forward to our most experienced guys leading this team on and off the field throughout the summer and fall. Our focus points are to win everyday and a have great work ethic, build trust within our program between all players and coaches, and create a ‘culture of champions’ here in Kettering that the entire community can be proud of.”
