Coaches Quotes: “The Comets have a tremendous challenge ahead after making the 2011 D-I playoffs for the first time since 2004. We will try to replace an all-conference QB, JD Sprague who is moving on to Ohio University to continue his football career. We will also be attempting to replenish an offensive line which was all seniors in 2011 including All-state tackle Joe Spencer who is taking his talents to the University of Illinois. The defense returns several starters including Andrew Hauser, Corey Quallen and Randy Anderson but will miss the services of a tremendous linebacker group and Josh Dooley who is heading to Miami University. The offense will rely heavily on returning starter Darryl Johnson at tailback. The Comets will have to regroup after losing a tremendous senior class from 2011.”
