Calling it a “bit of a miracle” that Touchback – a story based on Ohio HS football and shot in Ohio – had a theatrical release at all, Handfield is pleased with the films path thus far.

After debuting in theatres the week of April 13, Throwback generated $183,000-plus during its three-week run on the big screen at limited locations. The movie will now be released on BR/DVD/VOD in the fall.

The film was shot in 20 days with a very low budget and had very limited funds for advertising, depending on news outlets/sources for much of its visibility.
