2013 linebacker Ben Gedeon has confirmed with Wolverine247 that he committed to Michigan. The 6-3, 220-pounder out of Hudson High School becomes the 17th verbal pledge of Michigan’s 2013 recruiting class.

pledge of Michigan’s 2013 recruiting class.

Gedeon chose Michigan over offers from schools such as Boston
College, Duke, Ohio State, Penn State, Pitt, Michigan State, Louisville,
Purdue, Stanford, Tennessee and Virginia.

The Wolverines were the first to offer Gedeon and led for the entire recruiting process.

“Just the relationship I had with the coaches and the quality education is what I’m looking for,” Gedeon said.

Gedeon received a four-star rating with an overall grade of 90
from 247Sports. As a junior, Gedeon amassed over 100 tackles and three
pass breakups. He also rushed for 1,418 yards and 19 touchdowns, while
catching another 23 passes for 168 yards and two more scores.
