Elyria junior Tracy Sprinkle, one of the top defensive end prospects in Northeast Ohio, attended Michigan State’s junior day on Sunday. Did they offer? And who has so far?

Elyria junior Tracy Sprinkle, one of the top defensive end prospects in Northeast Ohio, attended Michigan State’s junior day on Sunday.

“It
was my first time at Michigan State,” Sprinkle said. “It was nice. I
enjoyed the campus. I liked the facilities. The indoor football facility
is the best. I liked the coaches. Everything was good.”

Mark Dantonio was out of town, so Pat Narduzzi took over and didn’t miss a beat with Sprinkle.

“I talked to coach (Pat) Narduzzi and coach (Ted) Gill,” Sprinkle
said. “They explained how the school is and their program. I liked
everything they said.”

Sprinkle has scholarship offers from Arkansas, Kentucky, Syracuse, Penn State and Toledo.

“Coach Narduzzi said they are close to offering,” Sprinkle said. “But that’s all I know.”

The 6-foot-4 and 250-pound Sprinkle was a varsity starter at
guard his sophomore season. He moved to the other side of the ball his
junior season and played defensive end. Sprinkle made 80 tackles
including eight sacks. He had a whopping 25 quarterback “hurries.”

“I’m being recruited as a defensive end,” Sprinkle said.

When asked to name his favorite school, Sprinkle said, “I don’t have one right now. They are all about even.”

Next up for Sprinkle is a visit to Kentucky March 31.
