recruiting scene. Conley received Big Ten scholarship offer No. 2 on
Wednesday and more are almost certainly on the way.

“I
got my second offer,” Conley said. “Michigan offered. They called my
coach and he came and got me out of class. Brady Hoke told me he was
giving me a full scholarship offer.”

Conley landed an offer from Northwestern a little over a week ago, but he did not see this one from the Wolverines coming.

“I was real surprised,” Conley said. “I told (Hoke) I was excited
for the opportunity and I’m looking forward to coming for a visit.”

The 6-foot-1 and 170-pound cornerback made 26 tackles and
intercepted four passes during his junior season. His forte is
man-to-man coverage.

Conley’s recruitment is just starting to pick up. Toledo just
offered too, West Virginia is beginning to send mail and Conley recently
heard from the Buckeyes.

“Ohio State sent me a letter to come to their junior day last
Sunday,” Conley said. “But I couldn’t go. I play basketball and our
tournament draw was on Sunday. I’ll try to get down there. I’m good
friends with (Buckeye freshman wide receiver) Devin Smith. He tells me
how fun it is down there.”

Conley said he does not have a leader and isn’t close to making a commitment.

Kurelic’s Comment: There are some that feel Buckeye
commitment Cam Burrows will wind up at safety in college and that Conley
is the top cover cornerback prospect in the state of Ohio.
