Hudson Llinebacker Ben Gedeon attended the Buckeyes’ junior day today and came away a very happy young man.

“I
was there with my dad,” Gedeon said. “It went really well. I ended up
getting an offer. Coach (Urban) Meyer called us in his office during the
tour of the football facilities. He said he was excited to offer me a
scholarship. He said he is interested in learning more about me.

“I was excited. I’ve been hoping they were going to offer for
awhile. I told coach Meyer I am definitely going to look more into Ohio
State. I’m impressed with the program he is building. I grew up watching
Ohio State.”

The 6-foot-2 and 220-pound Gedeon played linebacker, running
back, quarterback and wide receiver during his sophomore season. He made
105 tackles with five sacks and also rushed for 500 yards, had 300
passing and 300 receiving in nine games.

Gedeon led Hudson to a 10-2 record during his junior season with 120 tackles, over 1,400 yards rushing and 27 touchdowns.

Gedeon has 11 scholarship offers including Ohio State, Penn
State, Michigan, Michigan State, Tennessee, Boston College, Stanford,
Pitt and Virginia.

“I’d say Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State and Stanford would
be high on my list,” Gedeon said. “But I’m not ready to decide yet.”

Kurelic’s Comment: I love this offer. Gedeon has been among my Top 10 prospects in the Ohio class of 2013 for quite some time.
