Columbus Marion-Franklin defensive lineman Terrell Jackson
had at least 17 scholarship offers
before committing to Duke. He made his official visit there the weekend
of Dec. 9.

Since
then new scholarship offers have come in for Jackson, he has made
additional official visits, and has de-committed from Duke. In fact
Jackson isn’t even considering the Blue Devils anymore.

“I talked to their coach today,” Jackson said. “I told him thanks
for offering me and I appreciated everything, but I would be going
somewhere else. My dream has always been to play in the Big Ten.”

Jackson said he is considering three Big Ten schools, Illinois,
Iowa and Michigan State, but is also considering Pitt. He made an
official visit with the Panthers this weekend.

“It was great,” Jackson said. “I liked how the players hung
together. Coach (Paul) Chryst is a great guy. He didn’t pressure me to
commit or anything.”

Jackson made an official visit to Illinois last weekend. The
Illini and Pitt have offered him a scholarship – and he received a new
offer on the way home from Pitt this afternoon.

“I just got offered by Iowa,” Jackson said. “And coach (Mark) Dantonio called on Friday. I’m going to be calling him (today).”

If when Jackson gets a hold of Dantonio a scholarship is offered,
there is a very good chance Jackson will schedule an official visit to
Michigan State.

The 6-foot-3 and 260-pound Jackson had a great senior season as
he had 20 plus sacks from his defensive end spot. Jackson played
defensive tackle during his sophomore and junior seasons.
