MVP Podcast: Statewide sports talk

The MVP Podcast is back with its first show of 2012 and man is it a good one! We’re talking basketball and wrestling with some of the state’s top authorities. Kurt Stubbs, John Cummings, Tim Langevin and Jim Dabbelt all stop by to dicsuss their specialites…enjoy.

This week’s MVP podcast is mostly about basketball, but it is also
about wrestling, and JJ Huddle.com and Miami Valley Sports Magazine’s
John Cummings
is on hand to get us up to speed on everything that has
been happening on the mats around the state of Ohio so far this winter.

We’ll talk about St. Edward’s victory at the National Duals meet;
last week’s State duals meet; the new OHSAA weight classifications;
Graham’s continuing dominant performance in D-II; and we also speculate
about the future of D-III.

But mainly we are about hoops this week and that is because of the
upcoming Flying to the Hoops Invitational (Trent Arena, Kettering, Ohio)
and the Classic in the Country (Berlin Hiland High School, Berlin,
Ohio).

Hoops guru, Kurt Stubbs, is on hand to feature D-II, but to also get
us caught up on the other divisions as well. He’ll be at Trent Arena all
weekend and we pick his brain about the Ohio State Buckeyes; the key
match ups this Martin Luther King Day weekend; the best programs
visiting the event; the elite coaches; the hot players; adn the possible
upsets–all in a style that can only be Kurt Stubbs’.

The MVPpodcast, MVPhd, , Miami Valley Sports, and JJ Huddle’s own Tim
Langevin
is also here to pick up anything left in the debris following
hurricane Stubbs.

He’ll also hip us to the specifics of the potentially wondrous match
up/set up between highly-ranked OHSAA D-IV powerhouse Fort Recovery and
highly-ranked OHSAA D-I powerhouse Walnut Ridge on Saturday afternoon.

Should be a great game–or perhaps not–but either way, MVPhd will be there!

Finally we’ll have on Jim Dabbelt of the Dabbelt Report to teach us
what he has to offer concerning girls hoops, both statewide and in nthe
Miami Valley. More specifically we’ll talk about the great basketball
that will be played at Berlin Hiland High School this weekend for the
Classic in the Country.

Who are the great players?

Who are the great teams?

Who could be a darkhorse?

Find out all of this and more!

Only on this week’s incredible, nearly two-hour edition of the MVP
podcast, brought to you free of charge from your friends at the
MVPpodcast.

Listen up, people!
