Davis transfers from Moeller to Fenwick

In a Facebook post Thursday, junior QB Ricky Davis announced he had
dropped out of Moeller and enrolled at Fenwick High School in Franklin.
Davis is considered a top 2013 QB prospect and has offers from Akron and
Bowling Green.


In a Facebook post Thursday, junior QB Ricky Davis announced he had dropped out of Moeller and enrolled at Fenwick High School in Franklin. Davis is considered a top 2013 QB prospect and has offers from Akron and Bowling Green.

Despite his college potential, Davis was not the starter at Moeller. He backed up classmate Spencer Icavone who led the Crusaders to the D-I playoffs. In a back-up role, Davis completed 9-of-19 passes for 257 yards, four TDs and two interceptions. He also rushed for 84 yards and a TD on 14 carries.

Davis’s best game came in Moeller’s 27-10 win over St. Xavier. Against the Bombers he completed 5-of-7 passes for 159 yards and two TDs.

Fenwick is coming off an 8-2 record and a 10th place finish in D-IV Region 16 playoff points. The Falcons, who lost only to Alter and Chaminade Julienne, graduate senior QB Austin Gearing who is headed to Miami (Ohio).
