This week’s MVP podcast invents the ‘cover six’ zone defense in order
to fully cover this weekend’s OHSAA football finals to be held in Stark County.

By ‘cover six,’ we mean that it is our intention here at MVPhd to
cover all six games and because of that we will give you pregame
analysis of all six games as well.

We’ll have on Mark Porter of ScoutingOhio.com to
talk about the games, but more importantly the individual players and
which underclassmen look like they will become tomorrow’s blue chippers.

We’ll have on Tim Langevin of JJHuddle as well as Miami
Valley Sports Magazine fame.
We’ll break down the match ups in
depth.

We’ll have on John Cummings of the Dayton Daily News as well
as JJHuddle.com.
We’ll talk of our plans to cover prep
wrestling this winter here on The Podcast as well the teams and players
he has covered this fall who are still in the running for a state
championship.

We’ll have on head coach Rick Meeks of Springfield Shawnee.
He’s here to talk about last week’s D-III semi-final against a tough
Elida squad, as well as the upcoming D-III final against Youngstown
Mooney.

“I hear they held the state final already–a couple weeks ago, up
North,” dead-panned Meeks after the game. “It might be fun to crash
their party.”

We’ll have on Elida’s young head coach, Jason Carpenter.

We’ll try to get down to the cause of Elida’s shocking second-half
collapse against Shawnee in the state semifinal last weekend at Piqua’s
Alexander Field.

Finally, we’ll have on Marion Local’s Tim Goodwin; the Flyers
star sophomore quarterback, Adam Bertke; as well as their trustworthy
wide receiver, Lee Pierron.

That’s eight great guests for less than the cost of a postage stamp.

You gotta love it.

Cover six, only at MVPhd.
