Pickerington has been good to the Buckeyes’
when it comes to their 2012 recruiting class. Three of Ohio State’s 12
commitments, offensive linemen Jacoby Boren,
wide receiver Roger
Lewis
(Pickerington, Ohio/Central) and offensive lineman Pat Elflein
(Pickerington, Ohio/Central) are from Pickerington.

The Ohio State staff may be
coming back for more with junior defensive end Taco Charlton
(Pickerington, Ohio/Central) on their radar screen. Charlton was in the
Horseshoe on Saturday night as the Buckeyes defeated Wisconsin 33-29.

“It was crazy last night,” Charlton said. “The fans were crazy.
The whole atmosphere was great.”

Charlton has also been to the Colorado at Ohio State, Notre Dame
at Michigan and USC at Notre Dame games this season.

“It was just as crazy last night at Ohio State,” Charlton said.
“I liked it a lot. All three games were fun.”

Unfortunately Charlton arrived a little late so he didn’t get to
talk to the OSU coaches before the game.

“But I was there in time to go down on the field (before the
game),” Charlton said. “And I talked to some of the other recruits.”

The 6-foot-6 and 240-pound Charlton has scholarship offers from
Michigan, UCLA, Purdue, Syracuse and Cincinnati.

“Ohio State has told me they like me a lot,” Charlton said.
“They’ve said they are looking at me (for an offer).”

When asked to name his favorite school, Charlton said, “I like
the schools that have offered me. But I don’t have a favorite.”

Charlton, Boren and Lewis begin the playoffs with a Saturday home
game against Dublin Coffman.

Kurelic’s Comment:: I could see the Bucks offering
Charlton, but I don’t think it comes in the next few weeks.
