The 6-foot-1 and 215-pound Monheim, who has been a varsity starter
since his freshman year, had a huge junior season making 125 plus
tackles with two sacks and 28 tackles for loss. Monheim also
intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown.
Monheim has led Orrville to a 6-3 record this season with 100 plus
tackles, a couple sacks and an interception he returned for a touchdown.
“I’ve been in contact with Illinois and Ohio State,” Monheim said.
“I talk to the MAC schools a little, but I want to play in the Big Ten.
If things don’t workout I’ll play in the MAC.”
Monheim mentioned two MAC schools in particular.
