2011 Muscle
& JJHuddle Division II Power Poll: Week 9

1. Trotwood-Madison (8-0, R8)
The Rams fell behind 7-0 and then scored the next 33 points in a 33-13 win over Troy. Trotwood, which had 351 yards of offense, was led by senior QB Michael Simpson 99-of-19, 162 yards, three TDs) and junior RB Isreal Green (14 carries, 129 yards, TD).

2. Kings (8-0, R8)
The Knights outgainned West Carrollton 453-224 and beat the Pirates 45-20. Senior RB Brian Huffman led the way by running for 92 yards and three TDs on 12 carries. Senior WR/DB Zach Hilderbrand came up big too with two interceptions and a TD reception. This week Kings is at Wilmington (6-2). 

3. Howland (8-0, R5)
The Tigers won their 22nd straight regular season game and fourth straight All-American Conference Red Division title with a 41-14 win over Niles McKinley. Junior RB De’Veon smith ran for 285 yards and three TDs on 24 carries as Howland racked up 485 yards of offense. The Tigers close out the regular season this week against visiting Youngstown Liberty (0-8). Howland has a bye in Week 10.   

4. Maple Heights (7-0, R6)
The Mustangs ran their win streak to 22 games with a 28-27 win over Lorain. Alex Jones blocked a PAT attempt with 27 seconds to go to secure the win. QB Da’Junn Graham led the offense by running for 199 yards and a TD and throwing for two more scores. Maple Heights hosts Bedford (4-4) this week.

5. Marion-Franklin (8-0, R7)
The Red Devils held Columbus West to 97 total yards and scored TDs on an interception return, fumble return and blocked punt in a 54-6 win. Marion-Franklin hosts Eastmoor (7-1) this week.

6. Avon (8-0, R6)
The Eagles won their 14th straight west Shore Conference game with a 46-7 win over Vermillion. Junior RB/DB Ross Douglass ran for two TDs and had an interception. Avon is at Grafton Midview (7-1) this week.

7. Walsh Jesuit (6-1, R5)
We’re not sleeping on the Warriors. Walsh held Benedictine to 60 yards rushing en route to a 31-8 win. Senior QB Nick Wargo threw for 169 yards and two TDs and senior RB Brock Jones ran for 91 yards and two TDs to lead the offense. Walsh is at Padua Franciscan (1-7) this week.

8. Aurora (6-1, R5)
The Greenmen scored more points on Perry than anyone had since 2002 in a 54-25 victory. RB Zach Quinn scored five TDs and ran for 141 yards. This week Aurora travels to Painesville Harvey (1-7).

9. Wapakoneta (8-0, R8)
The Redskins enter the Power Poll after beating Van wert 77-12. Wapak ran for 518 yards and had three separate backs go over 90 yards. The Redskins are at Lima Shawnee (4-4) this week.

10. Toledo Central Catholic (6-2, R6)
The Irish make their Power Poll debut after an impressive 35-14 win over Toledo St. John’s. Sophomore QB DeShone Kizer threw four TD passes and junior RB Amir Edwards ran for 161 yards on 38 carries to pace TCC. The Irish host Toledo St. Francis (3-5) this week.

DROPPED OUT: No. 8 Canfield (lost 26-17 to Canal Fulton Northwest); No. 10 Big Walnut (lost 34-31 to New Albany)
