2011 Muscle
& JJHuddle Division I Power Poll: Week 9

1. Mentor (8-0, R1)
The Cardinals move into the top spot after a 45-7 win over Medina. Junior QB Mitch Trubisky threw four TD passes (has 25 on the season now) and conducted an offense that outgainned Medina 552-190 in total yards. This week Mentor is at Strongsville (1-7).

2. Cincinnati Moeller (7-1, R4)
Junior QB Spencer Icavone’s TD run with 13 seconds left looked like the game-winner for the Crusaders but Indianapolis Cathedral drilled a 40-yard field goal as time expired to notch a 26-24 win. Icavone completed 19-of-33 passes for 243 yards and two TDs. Moeller heads north to face No. 6 St. Edward (6-2) this week.

3. Cincinnati St. Xavier (6-2, R4)
Led by senior RB Connor Hundley (22 carries, 160 yards, two TDs), the Bombers beat visiting St. Edward 17-10 on Senior Day. This week St. Xavier travels north to tackle No. 9 Cleveland St. Ignatius (7-1).

4. Colerain (7-1, R4)
Senior Joe Bolden had a memorable senior night as the Cardinals beat Lakota East 28-7. Bolden, a Michigan LB recruit, ran for a TD, caught a TD pass and registered a team-high 7.5 tackles, including a sack. Colerain is at Hamilton (3-5) this week.

5. Whitmer (8-0, R2)
Senior RB Jody Webb ran for two TDs and caught two TD passes as the panthers beat Fremont Ross 58-20. LeRoy Alexander also came up big with 104 yards and two TDs on four carries. Whitmer is at Lima Senior (1-7) this week.

6. Lakewood St. Edward (6-2, R1)
Despite outgainning St. Xavier in total yards (237-212), the Eagles suffered their second straight loss and fell 17-10 to the host Bombers. This week St. Edward hosts No. 2 Moeller (7-1).

7. Hilliard Davidson (7-0, R3)
The Wildcats survived a huge test with a 14-0 win over previously unbeaten Dublin Coffman. Senior RB Alex Mickley carried the ball a career-high 46 times for 160 yards and a TD. Defensively the Wildcats held Coffman to 150 yards and eight first downs. Davidson faces another big test this week against Upper Arlington (7-1).

8. Pickerington Central (5-2, R3)
The Tigers beat Newark 87-0. Pickerington Central ran for 479 yards and limited the Wildcats to minus-5 yards on the ground. This week the Tigers travel to Grove City (3-5). 

9 Cleveland St. Ignatius (7-1,

The Wildcats rallied from a 14-0 halftime deficit to beat host Anthol Springs (NY) St. Francis 21-20 in OT. St. Ignatius hosts No. 3 St. Xavier (6-2) this week.  

10. Middletown (7-1, R4)
The Middies re-enter the Power Poll after beating previously unbeaten Sycamore 21-3. Junior QB Jalin Marshall led Middletown by throwing for two TDs and running for another. Next up is a trip to Mason (6-2).
