Jalen Robinette has four scholarship offers including a couple from MAC
schools. Robinette talks with Bill Kurelic about Ohio, Bowling Green,
Toledo and more.
Bexley senior Jalen Robinette started at safety for the
Bexley Lions his sophomore season. He played quarterback, wide receiver
and safety his junior season. This season Robinette is playing
quarterback and safety and doing his team’s punting.
It remains to be seen which position Robinette will play in college,
but he will play at the next level.
“I have (scholarship) offers from Bowling Green and Ohio,” Robinette
said. “Ohio I think would be wide receiver. Bowling Green is saying
wide receiver, but more safety.”
What does Robinette say?
“I probably prefer wide receiver – I like scoring,” he said. “But
defense is fun. I like to hit people.”
Robinette has visited Ohio, Bowling Green and Toledo.
“I went to Toledo for a junior day,” Robinette said. “One the way

of like Bexley. There is not too much around it. I talked to the head
coach and my recruiting coach.
“Toledo has been recruiting me for awhile. I think they might
offer. I’m looking at them. They’re up there on my list.
“I also went to a junior day at Ohio. And I’ve been there for
basketball camps. I liked it there a lot. It’s pretty spaced out. It
feels big, but it’s not.”
The 6-foot-3 and 195-pound Robinette is also a fine basketball player
for Bexley, but will go football in college.
In addition to Ohio and Bowling Green, Robinette has scholarship
offers from Air Force and Fordham. He is also hearing from Purdue,
Syracuse and Kentucky. Robinette has visited Purdue, Cincinnati,
Michigan State and Indiana.
“I don’t have a favorite,” Robinette said. “I’m still making my
