One of the top defensive linemen in Central Ohio has scholarship
offers from virtually every school in the MAC. Which ones stand out?
Marion-Franklin senior DL Terrell Jackson is
in his third year as a varsity starter. For the most part the 6-foot-3
and 260-pound Jackson played tackle during his sophomore and junior
seasons. He had five sacks last season in helping Marion Franklin
finish with an 11-1 record.
Jackson has moved to defensive end this season and the results have
been spectacular. Marion Franklin is 5-0 and Jackson has a whopping 13
To say recruiters have noticed would be an understatement.
“I have (scholarship) offers from basically the whole MAC except
Temple and Buffalo,” Jackson said. “Duke has offered too. And Michigan
State is recruiting me.”
Jackson has not started to schedule his official visits. However, he
is thinking about different schools and what they each have to offer
academically and educationally.
“I like Duke, Bowling Green and Toledo,” Jackson said. “But I’m not
just focused on three schools. Eastern Michigan, Western Michigan,
Ohio, they have all offered. I talk to all of them.”
When asked who would be at the top of his list, Jackson said, “My
favorite school would have to be Michigan State. There is a high chance
I would go there if they offer.”
However, the Spartans have not offered and almost all of the MAC schools will be there waiting if they don’t.
