But in the case of E.J. Junior, he is not worried at all about what
it would be like to go to Alabama where his father E.J. Junior Sr., was a
star linebacker. After his career with the Crimson Tide the elder
Junior went on to play in the NFL for the Dallas Cowboys, Arizona
Cardinals and Seattle Seahawks.
The younger Junior is having a fine senior season for the Middletown
(Ohio) Middies. The 6-foot-1 and 205-pounder has over 300 yards rushing
as the Middies are off to a 3-0 start.
Junior was a starting linebacker for the Middies last season and
could play either position in college.
“Cincinnati offered me,” Junior said. “They told me I could choose
The offer from the Bearcats, Junior’s first, came this week.
“My coach told me I was getting the offer,” Junior said. “Then they
gave me a call and told me.”
Cincinnati is the only school to offer Junior to this point. But
others showing interest include Wisconsin, West Virginia, Ohio
University and Alabama.
“Alabama is supposed to come in pretty soon,” Junior said. “That’s
my top school. My parents are alumni.”
