V’Angelo Bentley (Cleveland Glenville) is doing it all for the Tarblooders during
his senior season, and recruiters are definitely noticing. He has nearly a dozen offers.
The 5-foot-8 and 170-pound Bentley is playing cornerback and tailback
as well as returning punts and kickoffs. In one game alone against
Kingsland (Ga.) Camden County in the Kirk Herbstreit Classic in Ohio
Stadium, Bentley accounted for close to 300 all-purpose yards.
Bentley could play on either side of the ball in college, though
defense seems most likely.
“Most schools say cornerback, but I’ll do whatever is best for the
team and good for me,” Bentley said.
Bentley has seen his list of scholarship offers grow to close to a
dozen. His list includes Illinois, Toledo, Ohio University, Pitt,
Akron, Kent State, Eastern Michigan, Bowling Green and Air Force.
“I’m just looking for the school that gives me the opportunity to
play and get a good education,” Bentley said. “I’ll definitely look at
all of them.”
Bentley attended the Ohio State-Toledo game last weekend.
“It was a great chance to see some guys from Glenville,” Bentley
said. “Both teams have former Glenville guys.”
