The
6-foot-6 and 240-pound Charlton made over 40 tackles and established
himself as one of the Buckeye State’s top class of 2013 defensive line
prospects.

Charlton worked out at the Ohio State Two Day Position Camp near the end of June.

“It was fun,” he said. “I liked watching film. I learned some
moves from watching the Buckeye players. I liked the 1-on-1’s too.”

Charlton also found out the Buckeyes are going to be keeping an eye on him.

“I talked a little to Luke Fickell,” Charlton said. “And I talked to some of the defensive coaches. They said they are going to watch me – keep an eye on me.”

Charlton already has four scholarship offers – UCLA, Purdue, Cincinnati and Syracuse.

“Right now I really don’t know who I’m going to look at,” Charlton said. “I want to visit schools and see what happens.”

One school that will almost certainly be on Charlton’s list if he receives an offer is Ohio State.

“Ohio State was my childhood favorite,” Charlton said. “I’ve watched them since I was a little kid.”

Bill Kurelic’s Comment: Charlton is a talented prospect who has a big upside. He is a potential offer guy for the Buckeyes.
