A week and a half ago Bucknuts had a story on Trotwood-Madison defensive back Cameron
Burrows
and said he seems set to make a
challenge for the No. 1 sophomore in the state of Ohio.

Burrows
didn’t do anything to hurt his chances with his performance at the NIKE
Football Training Camp at Ohio State today and with what happened after
the camp.

Burrows confirmed he was offered a scholarship by Jim Tressel after
the camp ended.

“He offered me in his office,” Burrows said. “I just smiled,
shook his hand and gave him a hug.”

When asked where the Buckeyes stand on his list, Burrows said,
“Very high. They are my favorite.”

The 6-foot-2 and 195-pound Burrows played a huge role in Madison
making it to the state championship game (where Madison lost to Maple
Heights) and finishing with a 12-3 record last season. Burrows started
all 15 games and finished the season with 64 tackles and six
interceptions.

Burrows has run the 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds. He has
outstanding size for a cornerback and excellent coverage skills.

Burrows received his first scholarship offer in mid-April when
the Cincinnati Bearcats stepped forward. He also has offers from
Illinois and Missouri.

Among the many other schools are showing interest including Ohio
State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon and Colorado.

Burrows attended an Ohio State Sugar Bowl practice. He also
attended two of the Buckeyes’ home games last season.

In addition to Ohio State, Burrows names Oregon, LSU, Texas,
Alabama, Michigan State, USC, Wisconsin and Michigan as schools he is
interested in.

Bill Kurelic’s Comment: In the previous story I wrote on
Burrows I predicted he would get an OSU offer so this is no surprise.
Hopefully the Buckeyes can eventually land Burrows and as things now
stand it looks goods.
