On Thursday offensive lineman Kyle Dodson
(Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) was not sure if he would be
able to attend the Buckeyes’ spring game on Saturday. As things turned
out he made it to the Horseshoe and was glad he did.

“I
went down with my coach, coach (Eric) Stephenson, one of the players on
my team and coach Stephenson’s son,” Dodson said. “I thought the game
was good. I got to watch my position and see how the guys did. I thought
they played good.”

Dodson liked what he saw of the Ohio State offense as a whole.

“I thought the offense was pretty good,” he said. “I thought No. 14 (Joe Bauserman) and Braxton (Miller) were the two best quarterbacks.”

While on the visit Dodson talked to Jim Tressel, Jim Bollman and Taver Johnson both in the recruiting room and down on the field before the game.

The 6-foot-6 and 310-pound Dodson has 18 scholarship offers. His
list includes Wisconsin, Auburn, Michigan, Michigan State, Illinois,
West Virginia, Louisville and Connecticut.

Dodson had previously been told by the Buckeyes that they would be offering when he received an 18 or higher on the ACT.

“I took it two weeks ago,” Dodson said. “I should get my results
back in a couple weeks. I think I did good. I’m supposed to call Ohio
State when I get my results back.”

When asked to names his favorite schools, Dodson said, “I haven’t really made a list yet. I like everybody equal right now.”

Dodson has been a starter at left tackle since his sophomore
year. He missed the first six games of his junior season with a back
injury, but is 100% healthy now.

Bill Kurelic’s Comment: Though Dodson says he does not have a favorite, the word is if and when the Buckeyes offer they will be tough to beat.
