The spring game is just two
days away. That makes it time to preview the prospects that are expected
to be in attendance on Saturday.

Jim Tressel
and his staff will host a talented group of prospects including some of
the top names on the Buckeyes’ recruiting board. Here is a look at the
prospects who have told Bucknuts.com they will definitely or probably
attend the game.

DL Greg McMullen (Akron, Ohio/Hoban):Mullen recently visited Nebraska. Now it is the Buckeyes’ turn and those two schools are at the top of McMullen’s list.

DB/P Frank Epitropoulos (Upper Arlington, Ohio/Upper Arlington): Will Epitropoulos break the ice and become Buckeye commitment No. 6?

DE Se’Von Pittman (Canton, Ohio/McKinley): Pittman sits high on the Buckeyes’ ‘wish list.’ But he does not seem anywhere near pulling the trigger on a commitment.

DB Devan Bogard (Cleveland, Ohio/Glenville): Bogard seems likely to be another Glenville star that picks Ohio State, but not this weekend.

DB Terry Richardson (Detroit, Mich./Cass Tech): Richardson was in Ann Arbor last weekend for the Michigan spring game.

LB James Ross (Orchard Lake, Mich./St. Mary’s):
Ross will likely make the trip to Columbus with his good friend Terry
Richardson. Like Richardson, he attended Michigan’s spring game last
weekend.

OL Kyle Dodson (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights): As of late Wednesday night Dodson was not certain if he will make it to the Bucks’ spring game, but he is hoping to.

DE/TE Pharaoh Brown (Lyndhurst, Ohio/Brush): Will Brown land a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes on Saturday?

ATH Demitrious Davis (Austintown, Ohio/Fitch): Davis has an impressive list of scholarship offers, but so far it does not include Ohio State.

ATH Chris Davis (Austintown, Ohio/Fitch): Chris Davis has many of the same offers as his brother Demitrious.

QB Austin Appleby (North Canton, Ohio/Hoover): The Bucks have shown interest, but I don’t think they sign a quarterback this year with Cardale Jones eventually coming in after prep school.

2012 COMMITMENTS

OL Kyle Kalis (Lakewood, Ohio/St. Edward): Kalis continues to land offers, but is not wavering on his commitment to the Buckeyes.

RB Warren Ball (Columbus, Ohio/DeSales): Ball is up to 6-foot-2 and 215-pounds and looking very good.

OL Jacoby Boren (Pickerington, Ohio/Central): I look for Boren to be a very good center or guard for the Buckeyes.

LB Joshua Perry (Lewis Center,Ohio/Olentangy): Perry won’t have far to go to attend the Buckeyes’ spring game.

A few prospects who said they were going to or were thinking about attending the Ohio State spring game, but won’t include DE Adolphus Washington (Cincinnati, Ohio/Taft), wide receiver Dwayne Stanford (Cincinnati, Ohio/Taft), K Ross Martin (Stow, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit), 2013 QB Jalin Marshall (Middletown, Ohio/Middletown) and 2013 OL/DL Billy Price (Austintown, Ohio/Fitch).

Washington and Stanford will be playing for All Ohio Purple in
the Shooting Stars Classic in Akron this weekend. Martin will be in
Boston attending the Harvard spring game as well as vacationing.
Marshall visited Ohio State last Saturday and probably won’t make
another trip to Columbus this weekend. And Price has a track meet.
