Over the last few months, a number of schools have picked up their
interest in Kyle
Dodson, a 6-6, 310-pound offensive lineman from Cleveland Heights,
Ohio.

Dodson, rated as Ohio’s No. 11 prospect and the No. 3 offensive
lineman in the state in the 2012 edition of The Bucknuts 50, Dodson, who already holds a number of BCS
offers, Dodson, who already holds a number of BCS
offers, was able to visit Madison (Wis.) on Saturday and recapped his
visit with Badger247.

“My coach (Dontez Sanders) used to play at Wisconsin a few years
ago,” Dodson said. “We went around the city and got to eat at a diner.
Then we took a tour around the city and the football facility.

“We met with the coaches. I think I met every single coach there.
I sat down with the head coach for a couple of minutes. We talked about
my interest in schools.”

During his visit, Dodson was able to get a better feel for the
Wisconsin program on and off the field.

“We went down to watch their practice,” he continued. “The pace
of their practice is very fast. I was just watching the whole offensive
line.

“After that we went down to the weight room and met with the
strength and conditioning coach.”

Although Wisconsin has yet to offer Dodson, the Ohio product
holds Wisconsin is high regards.

“I just felt the tradition as soon as I walked in,” said Dodson.
“It’s definitely a big possibility for my school choice.”

Dodson declined to talk about a possible offer from the Badgers,
but had this to say, “They’re definitely very interested,“ he explained.
“I have a very high interest in Wisconsin at this point.

“I haven’t really made any favorites, but if I did, Wisconsin
would definitely be on my list.”

Another big player for Dodson is Ohio State, which also has not
offered.

“Ohio State is showing me a lot of interest, just as much (as
Wisconsin) basically,” he said. “I grew up a Buckeye fan. As a kid, I
had dreams of playing for them. But now that I’m older I’m looking at
them more from an academic standpoint and the surroundings.

“As a kid I was looking from the outside, now I’m looking from
the inside and seeing how it really is. It’s not really going to be a
factor.”

Dodson currently holds offers from Alabama, Cincinnati, Illinois,
Iowa, Iowa State Michigan, Michigan State, N.C. State, Pittsburgh,
Vanderbilt and West Virginia. He said Ohio State is prepared to offer if
he posts a qualifying test score.

* Comment from Mark Porter of ScoutingOhio.com — “At
times on film, he looks like he could go straight to the NFL next
season. Then you remember he is only a junior and has four or five more
years to develop. Just a great athlete who happens to be enormous. He
reminds me of the offensive lineman in the movie ‘The Blind Side.’ ”
