JJHUDDLE’S DIVISION VI POWER POLL: FINAL RANKINGS

1. Delphos St. John’s (10-0)
The Blue Jays wrapped up their second straight Midwest Athletic Conference outright title and won their 18th straight MAC game by smoking New Bremen 50-16. DSJ is looking to get to its third straight state championship game and begins postseason play Friday with a Region 22 quarterfinal against visiting Edgerton (7-3). Previous:

2. Marion Local (8-2)
The Flyers ended the regular season with a 47-7 win over Fort Recovery and finished in a three-way tie for second in the MAC with D-V playoff teams Anna and Coldwater. The Flyers open Region 24 playoff action Friday on the road at Fort Loramie (8-2). This quarterfinal is a rematch of last year’s regional final that Marion won 27-0. Previous: 3

3. Bucyrus Wynford (10-0)
The Royals increased the state’s longest regular season winning streak to 48 games, capped their fourth straight 10-0 season and won their 47th straight North Central Conference game with a 47-14 win over playoff team Ontario. This week Wynford opens Region 21 playoff action by hosting Dalton (7-3) in a quarterfinal. Previous: 4

4. Bridgeport (10-0)
The Bulldogs wrapped up the school’s second undefeated season in history and first since 1974 with a 55-28 win over Cameron (WV).  Senior RB Chris Smelley ran for 204 yards and four TDs on 10 carries as Bridgeport racked up 491 yards of total offense. The Dogs open Region 23 playoff action Saturday with a home game against Salineville Southern (8-2). Previous:

5. Ada (10-0)
The Bulldogs enter the postseason coming off their first loss of the season, a 35-21 setback to D-V No. 2 Lima Central Catholic. Ada entered the LCC game averaging 55 points per game and was held 34 points below its average. The Bulldogs begin postseason play by hosting Leipsic (9-1) in a Region 22 quarterfinal on Friday. 6. Lehman Catholic (9-1)
The Cavaliers remained unbeaten in Metro Buckeye Conference play and won their second straight outright title with a 41-6 win over fellow playoff team Fort Loramie. Senior RB Kaleb Goins spearheads the Cavs offense having rushed for 1,676 yards and a record-tying 27 TDs this season. Goins already owns Lehman’s career records for rushing yards (4,696) and TDs (67). Lehman opens postseason play Friday by hosting Lockland (6-4) in a Region 24 quarterfinal. Previous: 6

7. Mogadore (10-0)
The Wildcats won the Portage Trail Conference County Division title outright and earned their 12th straight playoff berth with a 17-7 win over East Canton. Mogadore held EC to 147 total yards and used two TDs from sophomore Gary Strain to get the win. This Friday the Wildcats host New Washington Buckeye Central (9-1) in a Region 21 quarterfinal. 8. Covington (10-0)
The Buccs won the Cross County Conference title outright and reached the postseason for the 11th time in 12 years with a 59-20 win over Mississinawa Valley. This week Covington faces fellow CCC foe Ansonia (9-1) for the second straight year in the first round of the playoffs. Covington beat Ansonia 28-21 in Week 8 and ousted the Tigers in the Region 24 quarterfinals last year. The rematch is Friday at Covington. Previous: 8

9. McComb (10-0)
The Panthers beat Pandora-Gilboa 54-14 and captured an outright Blanchard Valley Conference title – their 13th overall and first since 2001. McComb hosts Fremont St. Joe’s (9-1) in a Region 22 quarterfinal on Friday. Previous: 9

10. Sycamore Mohawk (9-1)
The Warriors rallied from a 9-0 deficit to beat Carey 28-9 and won the Midland Athletic League title outright. RB Caleb Coil rushed for 91 yards on 17 carries and scored three TDs. Mohawk hosts Toledo Christian (8-2) in a Region 22 quarterfinal on Friday. Previous: 10
