An OCC Central Division title is on the line this week – and so are a ton of computer points – in the Central Ohio McDonald’s and JJHuddle Game of the Week. Hilliard Davidson travels to Upper Arlington where it will put its undefeated record on the line. HD has won two of the last four D-I state titles, but UA has won two of the last three games against the Wildcats.
The Central Ohio McDonald’s and JJHuddle Game of the Week for Week 9 is: Hilliard Davidson at Upper Arlington
Here’s how the voting went:

CENTRAL OHIO MCDONALD’S AND JJHUDDLE GAME OF THE WEEK
DAVIDSON (8-0) AT UPPER ARLINGTON (6-2)
When: 7:30 p.m. Friday
Where: Moorehead Memorial Stadium
Last Year: Davidson won 19-0
Series: Since 2003, these two teams have played nine times with Davidson holding a 7-2 advantage. The Wildcats have beaten the Golden Bears twice in the playoffs (2005 and 2006) during the streak as well. In its seven wins, Davidson shutout UA four times and hasn’t allowed the Golden Bears more than 12 points. That being said, UA has won two of the last three games. Expect a low scoring game. Only three times in the last nine meetings has either team scored more than 20 points.
When Davidson has the ball: The Wildcats, who can win a share of the OCC Central Division title with a victory, are averaging 45 points per game on the season but the last five weeks have averaged 51. They are rolling. Senior RB Alex Mickley is the workhorse, having rushed for 886 yards and 19 TDs on 133 carries. Nick Seiffert has done damage too (520 yards, seven TDs). QB Jimmy Curtis is also a threat in the running game (239 yards, four TDs) and can pass when need be. On the season Curtis has just attempted 19 passes, but he’s completed 14 of them for 326 yards and four TDs.
UA hopes it’s athletic 3-5 defense causes some problems for the Wildcats.
When Upper Arlington has the ball: Injuries have forced UA to move players around and plug them into different roles. The team’s top two RBs Ryan McSheffery (toe) and Drew Karram (ankle) are expected to miss the game, which means Kyle Vesper (374 yards, six TDs) will get the bulk of the carries. Also getting some touches will be sophomore Gus Ackley. UA QB Jake Johns will be counted on to make plays in the passing game as well. Johns has completed 69-of-120 passes for 1,247 yards and 11 TDs. In the last two weeks – wins over Central Crossing and Westland – the Golden Bears have scored 156 points.
Davidson counters with a defensive unit that’s allowing just 6.6 points per game. The Wildcats have notched two shutouts this year and only two opponents have reached double figures. Davidson DE Keith Heitzman has committed to Vanderbilt.
Who Wins: Davidson 24-14
