1. Watterson (5-1)
The Eagles dominated visiting Lorain 63-0. Watterson scored three defensive TDs and held Lorain to minus-13 total yards of offense. This week things get ratcheted up tenfold with archrival DeSales (4-3) looming. Previous: 2

2. Youngstown Mooney (4-2)
After a two-game slide, the Cardinals have won two in a row by the combined score of 84-7. Their latest win was a 42-7 decision over Beneditcine. This week a stiff test looms as Mooney hosts No. 9 Akron SVSM (5-2). Previous: 4

3. Steubenville (6-1)
Big Red played their first Ohio team this season and lost 28-7 to Massillon Washington. Steubenville turned the ball over six times. Ouch. This week things get even more difficult for Big Red with D-V No. 1 and undefeated Ursuline coming to Harding Stadium. Previous: 1

4. Marlington (7-0)
The Dukes continued their torrid pace with a 34-14 win over Alliance. Through seven games Marlington is averaging 44 points per game. This week the Dukes travel to Canton South (2-5). Previous: 6

5. Wyoming (6-1)
The Cowboys won their fifth straight with a 56-17 win over winless Deer Park. Ahead 21-10 at halftime, Wyoming exploded for 28 third quarter points. This week the Cowboys host Finneytown (2-5). Previous: 7

6. Columbus DeSales (4-3)
The Stallions took one on the chin, losing 62-0 to Lakewood St. Edward. Ouch. This week DeSales gets little time to lick its wounds with a trip to rival Watterson (5-1) ahead. Health is a big issue for DeSales. Junior RB and Ohio State commit Warren Ball continues to miss games while nursing an injury. Previous: 3

7. Clyde (7-0)
The Fliers notched their third shutout of the season with a 35-0 win over Sandusky St. Mary Central Catholic. This week Clyde faces its second straight one-win team in Perkins (1-6). Next week a match-up with Oak Harbor (6-1) looms. Previous: 9

8. Eaton (7-0)
The Eagles manhandled Bellbrook 41-7 last week as junior QB Cole French had a big game. French threw four TDs, ran for a TD, kicked five PATs and snagged an interception on defense. He also punted seven times. This week Eaton hosts Franklin (2-5). Previous: 10

9. Akron SVSM (5-2)
The Irish fell victim to two blocked punts that resulted in 10 points for Walsh in a 17-10 loss. This week things don’t get any easier for SVSM, which hits the road to face No. 2 Mooney (4-2). Previous: 5

10. Licking Valley (5-2)
Drew McArtor and Chase Redman helped propel the Panthers, who make their Power Poll debut, past Lakewood 52-14. McArtor ran for 193 yards and two TDs on 15 carries, while Redman had 173 yards and two TDs on 10 carries. McArtor also caught a TD pass. This week LV travels to Newark Catholic (6-1). After back-to-back losses to open the season (to New Albany and Zanesville), the Panthers have won five straight. Previous: NR
