1. Pickerington Central (5-0)
The Tigers fell just short of their fourth shutout in five games, beating Gahanna Lincoln 45-2. Offensively Pick Central averaged over 10 yards a carry as it tallied 318 yards rushing on 29 carries. Addison Clopton and Devone Penick each scored two TDs. Kris Strange returned an interception 71 yards for a score as well. This week the Tigers host Groveport-Madison (5-1).
2. Hilliard Davidson (6-0)
Try this on for size: In the last three weeks, the Wildcats have outscored their opponents 173-6. No joke. Davidson blasted Central Crossing 51-0 last week as Nick Seiffert rushed for 123 yards and two TDs. This week the Wildcats host Worthington Kilbourne (2-4) before facing a season-ending gauntlet of Dublin Coffman, Upper Arlington and Hilliard Darby.
3. Marion-Franklin (6-0)
The Red Devils ran out to a 34-0 lead at halftime and coasted to a 46-0 win over Africentric. Paul Harris ran for three TDs and Correy Benson threw for two for M-F, which hosts Columbus West (3-3) this week.
4. New Albany (6-0)
The defense came up big for the Eagles in the fourth quarter as they produced two sacks and a pass deflection on Olentangy Orange’s last drive of the game in a 28-21 win. Alex Hake and Jordan Gallegos each ran for two TDs. This week New Albany travels to Franklin Heights (0-6).
5. Hilliard Darby (6-0)
The Panthers defense rose to the occasion in Darby’s 21-6 win over Upper Arlington. Darby had three interceptions, a fumble recovery and limited UA to 183 total yards. Up next for the Panthers is a huge test against visiting Dublin Coffman (5-1).

1. Watterson (4-1)
The toughest part of last week’s game at Greenville was getting there. Watterson blasted the host Green Wave (located in Darke County) 72-0 and outgained them 461-37 in total yards. Ouch. This week Watterson hosts Lorain (1-5). In Week 8 archrival DeSales comes calling.
2. DeSales (4-2)
If only the Stallions could play St. Charles every game. DeSales ran its win streak to 34 straight in the series with its rival with a 20-6 win. The game featured four field goals and two TDs – one each by DeSales QB Nick Gentile and RB Warren Ball. This week DeSales gets a huge test –literally – in D-I power Lakewood St. Edward (6-0).
3. Jonathan Alder (5-1)
The Pioneers may have recorded the most impressive road win for a Central Ohio team this year last week when they traveled to Ironton and handed the previously unbeaten Tigers a 38-14 smack down. RB Austin Dehart paved the way with 151 yards and three TDs on 30 carries. This week Alder travels to face another undefeated in Washington Court House Washington.
4. Hartley (5-1)
The Hawks built a big lead and then withstood a Columbus Grove rally in a 42-35 win last week. Hartley led 35-14 in the third quarter. Senior RB Noah Key led the way with 214 yards and three TDs. This week Hartley travels to Dayton Thurgood Marshall (5-1).
5. Licking Valley (4-2)
The Panthers dominated Granville 35-3 in a key MSL match-up. Drew McArtor led the way with three rushing TDs. A trip to Lakewood (1-5) awaits this week.

Sparta Highland (4-2)
1. Fredericktown (6-0)
The Freddies racked up 408 yards in a 31-7 win over Johnstown-Monroe. Matt Smith led the way by rushing for 161 yards and a TD on 21 carries. Branden Smith also added a 2-yard field goal and four PATs. This week Fredericktown hosts East Knox (3-3) .
2. North Union (6-0)
The Wildcats continue to roll. Counting their 37-7 win over River Valley last week, NU has now outscored their last three foes 156-20 and outgained them 1,306-2245 yards. Next up? Elgin (2-4).
3. West Jefferson (6-0)
The Rough Riders improved to 30-1 in Mid-State League Cardinal Division games over the last five seasons with a 51-6 win over winless Fisher Catholic. QB D.J. Gray accounted for five TDs (threw for three and ran for two). This week West Jeff travels to winless Millersport.
4. Newark Catholic (5-1)
The Green Wave rebounded from its loss to Heath to rally and beat Columbus Academy 27-24. NC scored 14 points in the final five minutes for the win. This week the Green Wave travel to Bexley (3-3).
5. Fairfield Christian Academy (6-0)
The Knights make their Power Poll debut after a 55-19 rout of Hemlock Miller. FCA, which went 0-8 last year, is undefeated and in contention to earn the school’s first playoff berth in just its second year as an OHSAA sanctioned school. This week the Knights travel to Fayetteville (2-4).
