JJHUDDLE’S DIVISION VI POWER POLL WEEK 6

1. Delphos St. John’s (5-0)
The Blue Jays just keep rolling along and through the competition. The latest victim? St. Henry, which fell 31-7. Up next is a visit from Versailles (4-1). Previous: 1

2. Ada (5-0)
The Bulldogs rolled up 601 yards of offense and junior QB Konnor Baker threw for 331 yards and five TDs in a 42-6 win over host Bluffton. This week Ada hosts Paulding (2-3). Previous: 2

3. Marion Local (5-0)
The Flyers beat then D-V No. 5 Anna 27-18 on the road for their biggest win to date. Senior RB Niles Keller rushed for 165 yards and a TD in the win, while QB Ryan Mescher tossed three TD passes. This week the Flyers entertain St. Henry (2-3). Previous: 3

4. Bucyrus Wynford (5-0)
The Royals increased the state’s longest regular season winning streak to 43 games with a 46-20 win over Crestline. This week’s trip to Riverdale (3-2) starts a stretch of five straight games against teams that currently have winning records: Colonel Crawford (4-1), Buckeye Central (5-0), Bucyrus (3-2) and Ontario (3-2). 5. Bridgeport (5-0)
The Bulldogs forced five turnovers and rallied from a 7-6 halftime deficit to beat Wheeling (WV) Central Catholic 24-7 at Steubenville’s Harding Stadium. This week Bridgeport faces another tough test with a road game at unbeaten Madonna (WV). Previous: 7

6. Covington (5-0)
The Buccs won another close one, this time edging rival Miami East 40-34 in overtime. Senior RB Tyler Nofsinger led the way with 142 yards and three TDs on 18 carries. Jake Stewart added two TD runs, including the game winner in OT. This week the Buccs are at Twin Valley South (1-4). Previous: 6

7. Mogadore (5-0)
The Wildcats eked out a 23-20 win over Garrettsville Garfield. Now the attention turns to this week’s game with Peninsula Woodridge (4-1). Last year Woodridge blasted Mogadore 52-7. Revenge? Previous: 8

8. Lehman Catholic (4-1)
The Cavaliers crushed Troy Christian 69-12. Senior RB Kaleb Goins scored four TDs to tie the school’s career TD mark of 59. This week a big test awaits with D-V power Columbus Ready (3-2) heading west. Previous: 9

9. Newark Catholic (4-1)
The wheels fell off in a 40-7 loss to Heath. The Green Wave turned the ball over five times. Another tough test looms this week with Columbus Academy (3-2) coming to Newark. Previous: 4

10. Fremont St. Joseph (5-0)
The Crimson Streaks tallied their first shutout of the season and notched five turnovers in a 37-0 win over Kansas Lakota. QB Matt Mehalko completed 12-of-19 passes for 179 yards and three TDs. This week a huge test awaits in visiting Bascom Hopewell-Loudon (4-1). Previous: 10
