1. Mentor Lake Catholic (3-1)
The Cougars got back on track with an impressive 31-14 win over D-II challenger Walsh Jesuit. Turnovers however continue to be a concern for a team that’s had eight in the last two weeks. That being said, MLC returned two interceptions for TDs in their win over Walsh. Senior RB/DB Richie Sanders ran for 290 yards and two TDs on 27 carries and also returned one of the INTs to pay dirt. Eastlake North (3-1) pays a visit this week. Previous: 1

2. Maple Heights (4-0)
The Mustangs have outscored foes 181-35 this season. In its latest win, a 40-6 decision over Cleveland Heights, RB DeVonte Ransom rushed for 202 yards on 29 carries and scored three TDs. Next up? Shaker Heights (1-3). Previous: 2

3. Winton Woods (3-1)
The Warriors made a statement with a solid 23-14 win over then D-III No. 2 Columbus Watterson. Winton Woods held the Eagles to 174 total yards and scored the last 16 points of the game after falling behind 14-7. This week the Warriors travel to Walnut Hills (3-1). Previous: 3

4. Avon (4-0)
The Eagles finally gave up some points (allowed 24 after only allowing three the first three weeks), but still remained undefeated with a 48-24 win over Rocky River. A big test looms this week with a trip to North Ridgeville (3-1). Previous: 5

5. Turpin (4-0)
Did someone say balance? The Spartans had it in a 48-21 win over Northwest. Turpin racked up 459 yards of offense with 231 coming on the ground and 228 through the air. Senior QB Eric Martin also tossed five TD passes. This week Turpin travels to Milford (3-1). Previous: 6

6. Toledo Central Catholic (4-0)
The Irish beat winless Start 30-12 and this week get Bowsher (1-3). A three-game season ending gauntlet of Whitmer, Akron Buchtel and Toledo St. John’s looms. Previous: 7

7. Warren Howland (4-0)
Deee-fense. The Tigers played some in a 16-0 shut out of Canfield. Howland held the Cardinals to just 40 yards rushing on 27 carries and had eight QB sacks. Senior K Chris McClearn also kicked three field goals (48, 42 and 29 yards). This week Howland hosts Carrick (Pa.) High (1-2). Previous: 8

8. Marion-Franklin (4-0)
Corey Benson led the Red Devils to a 35-14 win over Independence by running for two TDs and throwing for another. Up next is a huge test at fellow undefeated Walnut Ridge, which just beat Columbus South 63-26. Previous: 9

9. Uniontown Lake (4-0)
The Blue Streaks followed up their impressive win over Canton McKinley with another big victory, a 21-3 decision over Boardman. This week another test comes calling with a trip to North Canton Hoover (2-2). Previous: 10

10. New Albany (4-0)
The Eagles followed up their big win over DeSales with a solid 49-12 victory over Hilliard Bradley. Alex Hake rushed for three TDs for New Albany, which travels to Watkins Memorial (3-1) this week. Previous: NR

DROPPED OUT: No. 4 Trotwood-Madison (lost 21-7 to Wayne)
