While Kettering Alter and Centerville were staging their much-publicized and long-awaited game in Southwestern Ohio this past weekend, another long awaited rivalry game took place on the North Shore.

It took 61 years, but Elyria Catholic and Elyria finally met on the football field. And in front of a standing room only crowd at Elyria’s Ely Stadium, it was EC that came away with a 56-35 win.

The player of the game was EC senior QB Danny Reaser, who also earned this week’s nod as the JJHuddle Offensive Player of the Week for his remarkable performance.
