Alex Hake did most of his damage on the ground (146 yards on 25 carries), but
it was his 8-yard TD reception from QB Bryant Bednarek with 56 seconds
left that fueled the Eagles  to an eventual 13-10 overtime victory over host DeSales in the Central Ohio McDonalds and JJHuddle Game of the Week.

The Lowdown: Hake did most of his damage on the ground (146 yards on 25 carries), but it was his 8-yard TD reception from QB Bryant Bednarek with 56 seconds left that fueled the Eagles (3-0) to an eventual 13-10 overtime victory. Hake’s TD catch forced OT. In the extra stanza, New Albany kicker Jimmy Gammill booted a 23-yard field goal after a DeSales turnover for the win.

A 45-yard second quarter field goal by Gammill gave New Albany a 3-0 lead at half. DeSales (2-1) responded with a 1-yard TD run by Warren Ball and a 34-yard field goal from Anthony Ciammaichella to take a 10-3 lead late. It didn’t stand.

The victory was the Eagles second over the Stallions and first since a win in the D-III regional finals in 2006.
