* Outlook –
The Bulldogs have quickly become one of Division VI’s top programs. Ada has been to the playoffs four years in a row and has state semifinal (2007) and regional final (last two years) appearances to its credit.

Expect another solid run this season.

Head coach Micah Fell (40-11 in four years at Ada and 140-76 overall in 20) returns six seniors who will be three-year starters. That class also owns a 33-6 record heading into its final season.

Overall the Bulldogs return eight starters on defense and six on offense.

“We have a solid kicking game and a strong defense to start out the season,” Fell said. “If our offense continues as it has the past four years we have a chance for an excellent season.”

Last year the Bulldogs offense averaged 45.6 points. That will be a hard output to match, but stopping Ada has proven just as difficult.

Baker, a second team All-Ohio WR last year, looks to switch to QB in the Bulldogs high-powered offense and thrive. As a receiver he had 67 receptions for 1,147 yards and 13 TDs in 2009.

Weber is the team’s leading rusher after registering 200 yards and six TDs. He also caught 42 passes for 655 yards and five TDs a year ago.

Jolliff, who doubles as the punter (37.7 avg), is another receiving threat having collected 18 passes for 353 yards and three TDs.

As good as Ada’s offense has been, it’s defense might be even better this year.

Weyer (first team All-Ohio) is a tackling machine. Last year he had 128 stops, including 11 sacks and 11 TFL.

Weber (80 tackles, nine TFL, six sacks), Baker (50 tackles, three interceptions), Guyton (56 tackles), Craig (61 tackles, six sacks) and Joliff (37 tackles, three interceptions) are all seasoned.

As for the kicking game, Everhart connected on 71 PATs last year and was 3-for-3 on field goals.

* Schedule –
Ada has a tough schedule – on the surface. The Bulldogs faced the same slate last year and had only one game decided by less than 27 points. The LCC meeting in Week 10 promises to be a good one.
