This week’s MVP Podcast is fully loaded with football. We’ll dissect Division V (top players, teams and playoff favorites), talk to a D-IV contender and see how a small D-VI school shapes up.

In our first segment, Eric Frantz, the managing editor of JJHuddle and MVP Magazine, swings by to identify the key players and programs in D-V that the JJHuddle nation needs to be aware of in the coming weeks. Who are his favorites to win regional titles – and the state championship?

After that, longtime head coach Eugene Hoening of Ansonia High School is in the house as well. We’ll discuss the Tigers chances in the Cross County Conference and D-VI this fall. Did we mention Hoening’s been at Ansonia for over 30 years?

And finally, we have head coach Bret Pearce of Milton-Union on board to talk about the Bulldogs’ upcoming season as well as their entry into the Southwestern Buckeye Conference’s small school division (Buckeye) after years having played much larger schools in the league’s Southwestern division.

It’s also his birthday!

So, stop on by. Have a slice of birthday cake and become a little more aware of the lay of the land as far as high school football in the state of Ohio is concerned.

All of this and more, from your friends at the MVP Podcast!

Enjoy…
