Former Ohio HS player Chane Behanan, now a Bowling Green 9KY) High standout, has been offered by Ohio State.

Bowling Green (KY) senior Chane Behanan has a plethora of offers, but Ohio State entering the picture is
a new twist. Louisville and West Virginia have been recruiting very
hard, and Indiana just offered. Kansas and Texas have also got
into the Behanan sweep stakes. Cincinnati, Alabama, Oklahoma State and
Georgia have also offered. Behanan was once committed to UC.

Former Ohio prospect and student Chane Behanan has earned an offer from Ohio State.

Behanan, now a 6-7 senior at Bowling Green (KY) High School, was once thought of as one of the best players in the country let alone the best in Ohio. A subpar sophomore year, though, sent the ferocious Behanan down the charts and off the radar of most elite programs.

Behanan, who played his first two seasons of high school basketball at Cincinnati Aiken, transferred to Bowling Green High School last summer. Most didn’t care.

However, the spring and summer of 2010 has changed everything. Behanan was a man amongst boys in leading his team to the King James Shooting Stars championship in April. He followed with a terrific showing at Bob Gibbons in late May averaging 23.5 points per game.

The biggest head-turner, though, was Behanan earning MVP honors at the prestigious National Basketball Players Association Top 100 Camp. Add this all up, and the power forward now has the attention of virtually every college coach in America.

Behanan barely cracked the Top 100 in last year’s rankings and has now moved up to No. 24 according to Rivals and No. 29 according to Scout.

Behanan looked like a college senior as a freshman in high school, but he could never seem to put it all together and at times lacked focus. Now, things have changed.

The fast-rising 2011 prospect, who plays his AAU ball with the Ohio Basketball Club, is a monster on the interior playing much bigger than his actual size. He possesses tremendous hands with the ability to score in a variety of ways in the paint. Behanan can go around you, through you, or over you. Simply put, he is a beast with the ability to bully his way to the basket. What is really impressive is his newly added outside game where he’s showing the ability to knock down shots behind the arc and consistently from 15-feet in.

Behanan has a plethora of offers, but Ohio State entering the picture is a new twist. Louisville and West Virginia have been recruiting very hard, and Indiana just recently offered. Kansas and Texas have also got into the Behanan sweep stakes. Cincinnati, Alabama, Oklahoma State and Georgia have also offered. Behanan was once committed to UC.

Perhaps, the offer Behanan is awaiting is the one from the University of Kentucky or maybe it’s North Carolina. Both have showed recent interest.

Regardless, don’t expect a decision anytime soon.
