School Athletes of the Decade” for 1999-2009. Every Monday through

33. Ryan Pore, Mansfield Madison Comprehensive, Soccer,
1998-2002:
At the time he finished his
career with the Rams, Pore was the state’s all-time leading goal scorer with
154. He’s now third. His 62 goals as a senior in 2001 is still the state’s best
single-season total ever. Pore played college soccer at the University of
Tulsa, where in 2004 he was a finalist for the Hermann Trophy, a first team All-American
and the top goal and points scorer in the nation. Pore was drafted in the
second round of the 2005 Major League Soccer draft by the Kansas City Wizards
and spent he next three years playing in 58 games. He currently plays for the
USL First Division Portland Timbers.
