Canton McKinley defensive end Steve Miller, who is one of the top-ranked juniors in Ohio, ended his recruiting trail yesterday committing to Ohio State.
We have more on the second verbal commitment for the Buckeyes’ 2011 recruiting class.
Canton McKinley junior defensive end Steve Miller has issued a verbal commitment to Ohio State, according to our sister site Bucknuts.com.
Miller, who was an All-Ohio selection as a sophomore with 116 tackles and 13 sacks, selected the Buckeyes over the likes of UCLA, Florida, Michigan State, West Virginia, Purdue and Stanford.
Miller (6-4, 230) is ranked as the No. 2 junior prospect for the 2011 class by Ohio High magazine and is the Ohio junior gridder to commit to Ohio State joining Toledo Whitmer defensive end Kenny Hayes, who committed at the end of August.
McKinley (5-4) will take on rival Massillon Washington (7-2) tomorrow afternoon and needs a win and some help to qualify for the Division I, Region 2 playoffs.
