* Outlook –Cambridge made the
playoffs for the first time in 2004 and made three straight appearances but has
failed to qualify since missing out the last three seasons.

Webb was 60-of-116 passing for 798 yards and three
touchdowns last season with 169 yards and four touchdowns on the ground.

Hardesty tallied 292 carries for 1,639 yards and 23
touchdowns and also had 13 catches for 167 yards. Experience on the offensive
line will help with the ground game, according to head coach Rich Goodrich.

“I feel we have a strong unit and will be a little
diversified this year,” he said. “We should have the best team speed that we’ve
had. We’ve got some young kids that can run and our older kids have above
average speed and above average quickness.”

“The experience we have at the center of our (offensive)
line should help us with our rushing this year.”

Goodrich said Freeman is Cambridge’s best athlete on both sides of the
ball.

“Defensively, I think we have kids that can run and can get
to the football,” he said.

Though Cambridge
claims a solid group of three-year starters, Goodrich is concerned about play
upfront.

“Depth on the interior side of the ball is a concern,” he
said. “Depth along the defensive line is a concern. I feel like our first 11 on
both sides of the ball are pretty good but like anyone else if you throw an injury
in there we could be in trouble.

“I think we have good team chemistry and we have a good
mixture of kids with speed and talent. We have some sophomores that I think
will get some playing time and I think we have a lot of kids that can
contribute this year.”

Add Goodrich, “We’re excited. All these guys are three-year
starters for us. We have a lot of guys that have a lot of experience but it is
just how well they live up to expectations and how people around them perform.”
