In the past week, Michigan head coach Rich Rodriguez has extended scholarship offers to a number of Ohioans, including Canton South wide receiver Jerald Robinson, West Chester Lakota West tight end Alex Smith and Youngstown Liberty linebacker Antonio Kinard.

Robinson has taken Rodriguez up on his offer and has committed to the Wolverines, our sister site Bucknuts.com is reporting.

Robinson (6-2, 180) caught 35 passes and intercepted seven during his junior season.

Robinson told Bucknuts.com that Ohio State, Illinois, Oregon and Michigan State were the top schools on his list with OSU his favorite just before the end of the year.

However, the Michigan offer changed things and Robinson is headed for Ann Arbor.

The Buckeyes did not offer Robinson.
